Smiple Blessing in a Crock Pot
This week has been, and will continue to be, full of busy nights, so I decided to pull out my crock pot. I really don't use it much, but, as I was going to be gone 5 nights of the week and I really don't like feeding my family prepackaged food, I thought I should give the crock pot a try. Let me tell you, in the past few days, the crock pot has moved to a more convenient space in the pantry. I had forgotten just how easy it was to get everything I needed to do for dinner done and cleaned up by 11:00am. It left me time to get our house back together after a long and very enjoyable Easter weekend and, finally, sit down and book hotels for our trip this summer. I was even able to enjoying playing with Morgan and Olivia before I had to leave for the evening instead of trying to rush and make something for dinner, only to leave Luke with two tired kids and a huge mess to clean up. It has been great to take the rush off the 4:30-5:30 hour at our house and be able to focus on other things. It really makes think just how awesome God is, when you think about it he has so many children, but when we are hurting, stressed, tired, or just need a little extra attention he knows just what to do to pull us back to center to show us how loved we are. I know that this may sound silly, but God used a crock pot to help me have less stress for the week and be able to enjoy all the fun activity's I had planed instead of being tired worn out and cranky.
I haven't posted in awhile so the pictures that are up with this posting are Easter weekend up in Washington. We enjoyed our time and it was wonderful to be able to see almost everyone(moms side of the family) for easter weekend. It was great to spend time with my cousins and there children, but the best part was knowing that we all truly made my grandmas weekend by having all of us together at her house( all 40 of us) I think that it was the perfect way to spend celebrating Easter.
